Panasonic launched Rugged Tablets and Semi-Rugged Toughbook


Panasonic today launched rugged Handheld Tablets: FZ-E1/X1 and Semi-Rugged Toughbook: CF-54 for the Indian market. With smart business users demanding access to data anytime and anywhere, mobility devices are becoming integral component of overall technology landscape. On the occasion, Hide Harada, Managing Officer in charge of Business Mobile Business, Director of IT Products Business Division, AVC Networks Company, Panasonic Corporation said, “India has always been important for our business growth. We are really happy to introduce the extended product portfolio today. As mobility has become a crucial factor in business, the launch of these products is a strategic step towards enhancing our focus on the mobility segment. We offer complete customization for our rugged-devices, with everything in-house. With this launch, we are looking at increasing our presence in the Rugged IT devices segment from an existing 60% to almost 65%.”

Gunjan Sachdev, National Business Head- Toughbook, Panasonic India, introduced the media personnel with the features of Handheld Tablets and Semi Rugged Toughbook.


Features of FZ-E1/X1:

• FZ-E1 is powered by Windows embedded 8.1 handheld and Toughpad FZ-X1 runs on Android 4.2.2 operating system.
• Durable: Resistant to a drop of up to 10 feet on concrete, MIL-STD-810G specifications.
• IP65/IP68 dust and water proof
• First Toughpad device to offer voice connectivity
• Works in extreme temperature, whether it is chilling winters with -20 degree Celsius or scorching heat of 60 degree Celsius.
• With built-in-heater.
• Battery working up to 14 hours and is hot swappable which enables the user to use the device without turning off the phone since the device comes with embedded bridge battery.
