More E- shopping this festive season!

Shopping is a wonderful thing that we all like to do with our friends and family. And if trendy things come out at the best prices, it just adds the cherry to the cake. The festive season has started, the market is full of new stock but still the foot fall this year is lesser.

Yes, this can be attributed to the latest trend in the market where the customer walks in, checks out the prices of the product and then takes out his Smartphone to check its price online, and then orders the cheapest option available.

A frequent customer switch has really affected the retailers. This has resulted in poor sales this festive season. Online biggies like Flipkart, Amazon, LimeRoad and Snapdeal are able to skim out all the cream by snapping the customers away with lucrative pricing.

The trend has not only changed for electronics but now people are buying all sorts of things like clothes, Diwali gifts, books, bags etc.“Every year I used to buy gifts for relatives from market outlets, but this year I thought I’ll buy online and the only thing what I can say is Omg! Offers over there made me go crazy”, says Kamini Jha

The exciting offers! Given by the E- tailers have just diverted the entire crowd from retail to E-tail.

Not only does the young generation use E- shopping, but people from all walks of life prefer it now to actual shopping. And the simple reason is that you can buy anything in the comfort of your home at cheaper prices without compromising quality.

“Gone are the days when I was young and used to go for shopping with my friends. I am still a shopaholic but now I shop on the internet. I am technology friendly and I feel that it saves time, fits in your budget and especially it saves you from the crowded markets”, says Neelama Mehta

Traditional markets have a gloom over them this year. And retailers are trying hard to compete with online websites. “I am really surprised this year, even after providing so many offers people are still not interested. All that they say is ‘online par toh Kam ka mil raha hai’, the enthusiasm of the festive season is missing” says a local mobile retailer in Vaishali.

Well, E- shopping is invading the traditional ways of shopping rapidly and people feel happy to shop from the websites. This can be a turning point in the way people shop but could spell bad news for the traditional retailers.
