Shershaah is our first recommendation to binge-watch this, Independence Day. This film is adapted from the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee and brave army captain Vikram Batra. Sidharth Malhotra is the main lead and Kaira Advani plays the role of the late soldier’s fiancée Dimple Cheema.

Chak De India

This movie is inspired by the 2002 commonwealth games where the Indian team witnessed the iconic victory. This movie also displays the struggle of a former hockey player who was tainted as a traitor.

This movie was among the most expensive Hindi cinema productions. However, the efforts were well paid as this movie did very well at the box office. And earned the highest revenue at that time. Mother India was also nominated for Best Foreign Language film at the 30th Academy Awards.

Roja

Roja was released back in 1992. It is a romantic thriller film in Tamil cinema. This film receives immense appreciation for its storyline based on patriotism.
