The Border Security Force (BSF) has discovered a 30-feet-long and 10-feet-deep tunnel, from Pakistan side to the Indian side in RS Pura sector of Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday 3rd March, 2016.
This is not the first time that the security force has discovered such tunnels, before this a 400-meter-long tunnel was exposed, which also had ventilation pipes in 2012 in the Samba sector, and in 2014 also one such tunnel was found in the Chillyari Border belt of the Samba sector which was 23-meter deep inside our territory.
The Border Security Force has called a flag meeting and showed protest to the Pakistani Rangers for the discovery of the tunnel.
IG BSF Jammu Range, Rakesh Sharma said, “An attempt has been made to dig a tunnel from Pakistan side to India, with an aim to push arms and terrorists into Jammu city.”
