Thundershowers in Delhi
Monsoon has finally entered Mumbai after a very long wait. At the same time, it has covered some more parts of Maharashtra and the situation remains favorable for further advance progress. Inside and outside the rains will continue now on Mumbai, Pune and adjacent areas.
The channel along the west coast will bring widespread rains over the region. Monsoon has now taken under its jurisdiction most of peninsular India. Good showers are also likely in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu including North Chennai and interiors of peninsular India. It expects some rain in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Rain
Going up North India there is a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan. A channel extends from this system to the West Bengal.
A good spell of dust storm and thundershowers are likely along the foothills of Punjab, Haryana, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, North Bengal and Sikkim. Delhi could also see some pre-monsoon activities tomorrow.
Northeast receive only little rain. We do not expect heavy morning showers.
