Pahlaj Nihalani, the current head Central Board of Film Certification, India has come under a lot of criticism lately due to the Udta Punjab controversy.

Shatrughan Sinha, the famous actor who is also a politician defended the head of CBFC and his friend saying that- “Filmmakers who are attacking him (Nihlani), forget that he has not made the rules.He is only following the guidelines laid down by the government. Don’t shoot the messenger if you don’t like the message.”
He also added that “One should ask the government to change the guidelines,” and not blame Nihalani who is just doing his job. He also said that he sees Anurag Kashyap’s as a sensitive filmmaker.
