Remember Taking Selfie is becoming Dangerous? It was apparently an incorrect story

Yesterday, we did a story on how a Jodhpur National Law University Student fell from the 300 feet lighthouse while taking a selfie.

The story is apparently false and we want to apologies to Pranita’s family and friends for hurting their sentiments and feelings for publishing an incorrect account of her death.

We also want to apologize to our readers for the same as we relied on other newspapers without verifying our sources.

According to the friends of the victim, she didn’t go the lighthouse on that particular day. Her friends have a different version of events of that day.

According to an eyewitness and as stated in the FIR filed at the Gokarna Police Station, Pranita was sitting with her three friends on rocks by the sea and she was swept away by the tide at Kumta Beach at Gokarna.

She along with her two friends were swept away by the tide but only two could come to the shore on time but she held on to a rock for support but soon lost her grip and was carried away by the tide into the sea. Her body was brought the local fishermen 40 minutes after the accident and she was declared dead.
