Ramadan begins in India today

The Muslim holy month of Ramadan festival begins in Kerala today as the new moon has sighted at Kappad in Kozhikode.

This announcement was confirmed by spiritual heads of the community Palayam Imam VP Suhail Maulavi and others.

For the rest of the country, it is likely to start tomorrow after sighting of the moon this evening.

Ramadan begins in Kerala today

Ramadan has also begun across the Gulf region except Oman, from today.

According to the Moon Sighting Committee in Oman, the moon was not sighted and therefore the Ramadan will begin tomorrow.

The believer will join mass prayers and observe fast at mosques across the state during the period.
