According to Indian Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon is likely to hit Kerala on June 9th as the conditions seem to be favorable.
Meanwhile, many parts of Tamil Nadu witnessed rain today, weather office reported.

It further added that summer rains, accompanied by lightning and thunder were witnessed in many parts of state including Chennai.
The whole country this year was facing problem with scorching heat and now monsoon will atleast give some relief to people. In fact, this year India is expecting good monsoon.
So get ready to enjoy the first rain of this season.
