Life must go on: Vijay Mallya

The troubled business tycoon Vijay Mallya, who is a declared proclaimed offender by a Mumbai court in a money laundering case, has said on Friday that “life must go on” in his rare public appearance on the Formula 1 racing track which was in Silverstone.

The chairman of the UB Group, who has been based in the UK since early this year and who also co-owns Sahara Force India, had made his rare visit in Silverstone for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.

He has said that, life must go on, and being based in UK since a while now and not been travelling, he has more time to devote to what he wants.

The liquor baron has admitted that the inability to travel due to his passport being revoked by the Indian government is the most “frustrating” thing.

Vijay Mallya is currently wanted by the Indian government over loan default cases related to the now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also published a court-issued proclamation for the business tycoon to appear before the special PMLA court on July 29.
