Railway officials have informed that at least three trains were cancelled and 81 others were running late due to the dense fog in Delhi on Wednesday morning.

The Railway officials have informed that 81 trains are running late by several hours while three were cancelled and 12 were rescheduled due to dense fog.

Winter has officially arrived Delhi and Wednesday morning people of Delhi witnessed a lot of Fog. People who were going to their workplace in the early morning of Wednesday complained about the poor visibility.

According to Airport Authority of India, at least eight international flights were cancelled and three flights were diverted due to the poor visibility. Five domestic flights were also delayed.

Notably, traffic on the highways was also slow. In fact, occupancy on state run buses has come down to half its capacity.

As per an official of Met department, the visibility was recorded 100 metres at 5: 30 AM and 8:30 AM respectively at Safdarjung.

The official further added the visibility was zero in Palam at 5:30 AM in the morning.

Here is the list of the trains that are running late

  • Himgiri Express ( 26 hours)
  • Amarnath Express ( 20 hours)
  • Purbia Express ( 18 hours)
  • Kaifiyat Express ( 19 hours), and many more

The minimum temperature of the national capital was recorded 11.2 degree Celsius, two notches above the normal, while the humidity was recorded at 98 percent at 8:30 AM

According to weather department the day will witness clear sky and the maximum temperature will settle at 25 degree Celsius.

The maximum temperature yesterday was 24.8 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 9.4 degree Celsius.

In coming days, Delhi is expected to witness more fog. So please make sure you take all precautions, if you are planning to go out soon.
