As per reports, more than 23 mm of rain was recorded by the evening, which made Thursday the rainiest January day in the capital of this century. Notably, the rain was the result of a major weather system that hit north India, bringing hailstorm in some parts of Haryana, snowfall in places like Jammu and Kashmir, and heavy rainfall in plains.

The heavy rainfall will result in a cool weekend in the capital and the temperature will return to near- normal level after remaining quite high from past three days.
According to the head of IMD’s Regional Weather Forecasting Centre, the capital is expected to witness very cold weather because another weather disturbance is likely to hit Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Several places in Delhi witnessed higher rain than Safdarjung.

Visitors at Rajpath were not allowed to carry umbrellas so they had to formulate various ways of covering themselves when it started drizzling in the capital.

Well, people of Delhi are enjoying the weather but rain has increased the problems of people. To enjoy the weather all you need to do is drink hot coffee, tea, and soups and please make sure to carry an umbrella next time when you step out of your home.
