Working in a MNC for around 10 years, Amit Nangia could never let go of the writer in him. His journey and love for writing began at the very age of seven and he wrote his first book in 2011. Apart from being a writer, he is also an avid traveler and believes that this helps him in describing the places in his stories or books in more descriptive way.

 

For all those who love a filmy touch in whatever they read, write or watch, Daring Daroga, the protagonist of the novel, is going to be quiet an entertainer. “There is strong influence of Bollywood. The protagonist is like a Bollywood hero who can fight ten goons at one time, save the damsel in distress and win over the villain. Secondly, the time to read the book will be same as that of watching a movie. These days with hectic schedules people have less time and need great content so this book will cater to this demand.”

In exclusive chat with us, Amit shared why he wanted to begin with a thriller, “I wanted to bring to life an Indian cop, Abhay Pandey, who is an audacious cop and follows no rules or guidelines but still solves the case. I always remember the Indian characters like Karamchand and Byomkesh Bakshi and realize that there are few Indian detectives but no Indian cop. A thriller was best suited to bring this character to life.”

 

The quickies book series has been conceptualized to bring in new readers. Quickies are the books for the future and re-defines fiction. While continuing the conversation with us, Amit spoke about how much of him is reflected in the novel, “Well, I think the quirks, the style, the humor definitely comes from within me. It’s my true reflection and my imagination.”

 

The quickie book (a short novel for people who do not find time to read long lengthy novels) is nerve-wrecking and incomprehensible mystery unfolding through a series of twists and turns, the book is going to hold your interest till the end.
