Any guesses?… The surprising yet delightful entry for this year’s Google trend is ‘Paneer Pasanda’. The recipe not only topped the Indian charts but even became the most searched recipe worldwide.

Recipe of the dish:-

Step 1

Cut paneer into small cubes. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the paneer cubes till it gets a golden colour.

Step 2

Deep fry cashew nuts in the same oil till light golden. Chop onions.

Step 3

Wash and chop coconut wash and chop ginger & garlic. Clean, wash and chop coriander leaves. Remove stems and dry roast Kashmiri red chillies along with cumin seeds, coriander seeds, cloves and cinnamon. Combine onion, coconut, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, Kashmiri red chillies, poppy seeds, coriander seeds, cloves, cinnamon, and sunflower seeds and grind to a paste using little water.

Step 4

Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a kadai, add the paste and fry for 4 to 5 minutes till the oil leaves the masala. Add tomato puree, sugar, salt, and a half cup of water and continue the simmer on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes till the gravy is thick.

Step 5

Add the fried paneer and cashew nuts and cook further for a minute.

Serve gently.

What do you need?

  • 400gm Paneer ( Depends on the number of people)
  • 1 small ginger
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 garlic
  • 4 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 medium green chillies ( You can increase or decrease the number according to your taste)
  • 11/2 large capsicum
  • 2 large onions
  • 11/2 tablespoon green chilli sauce
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 cup refined oil

How to cook it?

To prepare this soul-satiating dish, cut the paneer, onion and capsicum into cubes.

  • Wash the cubed capsicum, onion and paneer in running water, and then keep them aside.
  • Now peel the ginger and garlic and chop them too in a small bowl. Cut green chillies in strips or you can slice them in half.
  • Put a skillet on a medium flame and heat the oil in it.
  • When the oil is hot enough, add paneer slices and fry them till golden. Now, put a saucepan on another flame and add two tablespoons of hot oil to it.
  • Add ginger and garlic with chillies. Let them sauté for a few seconds.
  • After mixing them well, add sauced onion to the saucepan.
  • Saute for a minute and then add cubed capsicum, and salt along with the tomato ketchup, vinegar, green chillies, green chilli sauce, and soy sauce. Mix them well and let the veggies cook for two-three minutes.
  • Last but not the least, add fried paneer cubes and toss them.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot!

What do you need for preparation?

  • 2 Cup baby corn
  • Salt according to your taste
  • 3 onions
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon chilli powder
  • 250 gm paneer
  • 1 capsicum
  • 2 tomato
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper

How to make it?

  • Firstly, wash the baby’s corn and pat them dry. Boil the corn and then transfer them to a chopping board and slice them.
  • Also, slice paneer and capsicums and keep them aside. On the same chopping board, chop onions and tomatoes. Also, remove the pulp of tomatoes.
  • Place a frying pan on medium flame, pour oil in it and then add onions in it. Keep the flame high now, add capsicums and then baby corn into it. Cook the mixture for five minutes on medium flame.
  • Add a little oil to another frying pan and then add tomatoes to it. Cook it at low flame till they are pulpy and the entire water is absorbed.
  • Now add chilli powder, pepper powder and salt in the same pan and mix. Cook the mixture for at least 5 minutes, and add paneer to the mixture. Stir it well and then combine the mixture of both pans.
  • Garnish with the toppings of your choice and serve it hot with garlic bread or even with a paratha.
