There are two types of bacteria in our body- good bacteria and bad bacteria. Probiotic food is highly beneficial and helps the body to stay healthy and perform well. Probiotics help to improve digestion and fight bad bacteria. It would help build up immunity and control inflammation with many other benefits. Having this probiotic would help to regain lost good bacteria.

There could be a variety of forms of bacteria, which can be classified under probiotics. However, two main types are commonly available. Those are lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium bacteria. Probiotics are also made from good yeast. Saccharomyces Boulardii is the most common form of yeast that is found in probiotics.

Kefir is a fermented berry drink and it is high in healthy probiotics and has a great therapeutic value. Mixing kefir grains or granules with cow or goat’s milk will be best. Kefir’s drink is 99% Lacto sweet. It heals the cell of the entire body and boosts your internal immunity. Thus, preventing you from contracting seasonal problems. Kefir also aids in detoxification. It is a great source of magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin K2, folate, thiamine, vitamin B12, and many more.

 Dahi is commonly available in our house. It is cost-effective and can be consumed easily. A curd is a probiotic as it contains those bacteria, which are highly healthy for your guts. Daily consumption of curds provides an enormous amount of calcium and vitamin D to your body. Both calcium and vitamin D are needed for your bone health. Stronger bones can minimize the incidence of arthritis, osteoporosis, and rheumatoid arthritis.

A daily cup of curds provides us with the required amount of calcium, protein, zinc and vitamin B. this keeps your skin toned and smooth. So, have a bowl of curds every day during lunchtime or you can have it with rice and roti while having lunch. It will also enhance the taste of our meal.

 Note: Avoid curd at night as it increases the chances of cold and cough.

4.     ButterMilk as probiotic food

Buttermilk commonly known as Chhanchh in India is an excellent probiotic item. The best part of it is we can make it at home. It can be treated as an alternative for Calcium, especially for those who are lactose intolerant and cannot have milk.

Buttermilk possesses antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-cancerous properties. It can decrease cholesterol and release acidity problems.

Experts suggest that it is best to have buttermilk at the time of lunch.
