OnlyFans Star Bonnie Blue’s “Arrest” Sparks Debate: Stunt or Real?
OnlyFans star Bonnie Blue, whose real name is Tia Emma Billinger, was in the newspapers following the appearance on her Instagram account of a rather dramatic arrest by the police. The footage went viral, setting the whole crowd of followers and laypersons alike speculating and debating its authenticity.
This video, posted on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, showed Blue being searched by what appeared to be a female officer as she lay almost limply on a police vehicle, another man around, indistinctly. Officers were heard conversing with one supposedly saying, “She’s gonna be coming in.” The caption for the video, posted by an individual reporting to be Blue’s sister, read, “As you may have seen, Tia has been arrested. We still don’t have clarity on the situation but will keep you all in the loop as soon as we know.” Even through these words, the sister had expressed some level of grievances relating to the apparent invasion of privacy concerning all this.
This act of arrest became very dramatic and hashtagged as #FreeBonnieBlue on all social media platforms with many fans even worrying in support of her. However, contradictory sentiments were placed almost immediately in regard to their authenticity.
Several inconsistencies proved to be of great interest to internet sleuths and news outlets. Perhaps one of the largest ones is that the registration plate on the police vehicle could be seen and later allegedly proved to be the same registration of a prop car owned by ‘Police Car Hire UK,’ which is a company that rents out cars for film and TV productions.
Both videos appeared to be filmed in the UK. Both videos shared these strange common traits and it has led too many to suspect that both incidents, likely staged publicity stunts.
Neither Bonnie Blue or any representatives have made an official statement clarifying anything in this case. However, gauging the sheer number of media reports and kooky claims on social media, the indicative outcome is that the “arrest” was a highly manicured, fabricated stunt, for the purposes of creating social or media impressions. Furthermore, Blue has been noted for her outrageous stunts or claims in the past including one that she slept with a ridiculously large number of men in a short period of time. a few weeks ago, Blue was also accused of sexually exploiting vulnerable men and was accused of multiple sexual abuses, which further supports the theory of this situation being a carefully planned viral market strategy.

This case sheds light on how blurred the lines can become between reality and content (influencer) generation-for entertainment or simply through fan engagement. Dramatic arrests can become vehicles for self-promoting, or they can garner millions of views. As it’s stands, there has not been an official report from any law enforcement agency confirming whether Bonnie Blue was lawfully arrested.
