Malayalam Actor Kalabhavan Navas Found Dead In Hotel Room Incident

Popular actor and mimicry artist, Kalabhavan Navas, in Malayalam film business died prematurely on Friday, and the Malayalam film world is in sorrow over his death. He is 51 years old. Early police and hospital reports indicate that it was a suspected heart attack that led to the death. Navas was a guest in the hotel in connection with a shoot of his new movie, Prakambanam.

The Investigation –

As per reports, the incident was reported due to the fact that hotel staff reportedly visited the room of Navas as he had not checked out by the time the staff had noticed this condition. They discovered that the actor was lying flat on the ground and called the attention of the film crew and the local authorities at once. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The police located at Chottanikkara have already taken up the inquest procedure to establish the precise cause of death but foul play is so far ruled out. The body has been taken to Government Medical College Hospital in Kalamassery where a post-mortem examination should be held and thereafter it will be given over to his family.

Kalabhavan navas used to be a popular entertainer in the entertainment of the Kerala film industry as a mimicry artist and actor. His career started with the famous Kalabhavan mimicry group where he got to develop his comedic skills and performance on the stage. His entry into the world of cinema was through the 1995 movie, Chaithanyam and later he did many more successful movies, like Hitler Brothers, Junior Mandrake, Mattupetti Machan, and Chandamama. His comical routine was always marked with his witty nature and perfect comic timing.

The news of his passing has sent shockwaves through the industry, with many of his colleagues and friends expressing their grief. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also extended his condolences, remembering Navas as a versatile artist who brought new dimensions to the art of mimicry. Navas is survived by his wife, Rehna, who is also an actress, and his three children. His brother, Niyas Backer, is also a well-known actor and mimicry artist, making the loss a deep one for a family rooted in the performing arts.
