50 Cent Reacts to Cassie’s Diddy Testimony: “Crazier Than Crazy”
Following Cassie’s engaging and detailed testimony in the federal sex trafficking trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs, his longtime rival, 50 Cent, was ready to call out the allegations as “crazier than regular crazy.” The rapper and media mogul, who has publicly feuded with Diddy for years, took to media to provide a stream of reaction and commentary as Cassie described her experiences of alleged abuse, manipulation, and forced participation in sexual acts orchestrated by Diddy.
50 Cent’s presence online dominated much of the narrative of the trial, giving an ongoing commentary that varied from immediate reactions to individual details in Cassie’s testimonies to simply shocking receipts and condemnations. 50 Cent often provided screenshots of the news headlines surrounding Cassie being on the witness stand, commenting (often sarcastically) on trial highlights.

Along with the photo, he considered Diddy’s tenuous legal trouble, which obviously suggested that the weight of the abuse allegations might have required to consider taking the plea offer against. “After listening to today’s testimony, I think the diddler should have took [sic] the plea offer. The s*** they are saying is beyond me, so what do ya think?” he encouraged on his followers, attempting to get public opinion surrounding the netherworld and damning testimony.
There is an extra level of nuance to 50 Cent’s stark reaction to the case, and that probably has something to do with relationship with Diddy. The bitter rivalry between 50 Cent and Diddy has been documented thoroughly over more than two decades and has included public insults, social media jabs, and various accusations. 50 Cent has publicly criticized Diddy’s philosophy, be it personally, being a “grown man eating twinkies,” or business, whether it be perceived business wrongdoing, and while the trial is complicated, the trial appears to serve as a cathartic affirmation for his lingering animosity, and he is clearly placing a very public stamp of approval on it. The public debate will continue to be clearly on his mind, as he does, and that brings to attention the clear public interest around the incident, and the worrying nature of the allegations that are given very serious nature in this trial.
50 Cent’s judgement, “crazier than regular crazy,” will likely continue, as Cassie’s very honest and extensive testimony, appears emphatically clear, the added spice of embarrassment will likely heighten the distress of what many have witnessed and heard closely of the trial. As we continue on with the trial, it is likely that 50 Cent will be part of the discussion.
