Good news: Supreme court begins historic live-streaming of proceedings

In a unanimous decision taken at a recent full court meeting headed by the CJI, the Supreme Court decided to live-stream proceedings of all constitution bench hearings, 4 years after the path-breaking announcement by justice Misra.

The apex court may live-stream proceedings through YouTube and then host them on its servers. People can access the proceedings on their cell phones, laptops and computers without hassle.

Maharashtra: Ration Card Norms Eased for 3rd gender beneficiaries

The Maharashtra government issued a resolution that relaxed norms for members of the third-gender community for residential proof and identity proof on applying for a new ration card.

In the latest notification, their applications would be considered if they are registered with the State Aids Control Society or have a voter identification card that identifies them as third-gendered.

Earlier, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation had hired transgender people to take part in a cleaning drive at the Mini Seashore in Vashi.

Khush Khabri: Specially-abled soldiers of the Indian Army to be trained to join paralympic athletes

The Indian Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Paralympic Committee of India to bring specially-abled soldiers into the sport.

PCI president Deepa Malik, Lt. Gen Ravin Khosla, and the Deputy Chief of Army Staff signed the document to introduce soldiers to sports. This move aims to bolster the Paralympic sport in the country while also providing a space to rehabilitate specially-abled soldiers.

Disabled soldiers injured in the line of duty will be trained for paralympic sports to continue representing their country. It will enable them to rehabilitate and contribute to the growth of paralympic sports in the country.

Good news: World’s largest safari park to be developed in Gurugram, to cover over 10000 acres  

The state government announced today that Haryana will develop the world’s largest jungle safari park in the Aravalli range. Gurugram and Nuh districts will be covered by the 10,000-acre safari park. “This project will be the largest such project in the world,” it said.

Presently, Sharjah is home to the most extensive curated safari park outside Africa. Opened in February 2022, the Sharjah Safari covers an area of about 2,000 acres.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Bhupinder Yadav visited Sharjah Safari in this regard, according to the state government.
