8 Girls Attempted suicide after the Chandigarh University controversy, Ram Dev Baba is adding beef in Pantanjali products, if you also shared such fake news on your media then it’s time to go through some foolproof information.

Kisne feka: An image showing a packet of ‘beef biryani spice mix’ is going viral on social media. The viral photo shows the name of Yoga guru Ramdev and his Brand Patanjali on the packaging. Surprisingly, this packet advertises Beef Biryani spic mix. Taking a jibe at Baba Ramdev, people on social media claimed that Baba Ramdev has now started selling beef biryani masala.

Foolproof: The viral claim is false. ‘National’ was written on the side of the packet. The original image is on the e-commerce website of National Foods Limited, a multinational food products company based in Pakistan. According to the website, this is 39 gm. Beef Biryani Recipe Mix product manufactured by National Foods Limited Company.

After comparing the viral picture and the picture on National Food’s website, the image published by National Food is edited, ‘ Ramdev’ has been written in place of ‘National’ and ‘Patanjali’. The viral photo has nothing to do with Patanjali and Ramdev.

Jawaharlal Nehru is a British National!

Fake news: A video claiming Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s alleged London citizenship is rapidly circulated across social media. In the video, Nehru can be seen attending an event hosted by London’s Common Council, the primary decision-making body of the city. While sharing it, people on social media claimed that Jawaharlal Nehru took up the citizenship of London and swore an oath of allegiance to Queen Elizabeth.

Foolproof: The viral claim is false. The YouTube channel ‘British Pathé’ was uploaded on April 13, 2014. The footage showed a ceremony of the Freedom of the City of London award being bestowed on Nehru. Honour is ceremonial and does not affect an individual’s nationality or citizenship. Through nomination, any race is eligible. By 2002, 1,800 people a year became freemen, although they no longer enjoyed any privileges.

Besides Jawaharlal Nehru, Sanjiv Chadha and Lord Khalid Hameed were awarded the honour.

Kisne Feka: The INC started ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ on September 7, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Meanwhile, an image of Rahul Gandhi hugging a girl is going viral on social media. Many BJP leaders shared this image claiming that the girl seen with Rahul Gandhi is Amulya Noronha, who raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans during the CAA-NRC Protest in 2020.

Foolproof: The viral claim is false. The viral photo did not resemble Amulya Leona Noronha. The image on a Facebook post shared by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on September 22. The girl with Rahul Gandhi in the viral picture is Miva Jolly. She is a District General Secretary at Kerala Students Union (KSU), the state’s student wing of the Congress.

Students protested on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh highway following reports of leaked objectionable videos of women students at the private Chandigarh University. It was claimed that a female student secretly filmed a video of 60 girls taking a bath and sent it to a man. This led to 8 female students allegedly attempting suicide.

The viral claim is misleading. The statement of Mohali DC Amit Talwar in this matter. While talking to the media, he said, “A girl fainted due to anxiety, and she was taken to the hospital, which was misinterpreted as a suicide attempt.”
