The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has received 18.27 lakh responses to its discussion paper on gap OPF pricing.The analysis showed that a large number of them supported Free Basics plans of the Facebook.
Around 8.9 lakh Feedback through phone and 5.44 lakh through Facebook mail are received to support the Free Basics plan of the Facebook.
RCom is the only telecom service provider company which offers Free Basics in India.
Free Basics service should remain on hold till the declaration on differential pricing comes up.
Differential pricing on data services is an important part of network objectivity. The decision on differential pricing will come up by the end of January.
