On Saturday, Germany luxury carmaker Mercedes Benz said it posted record sales of 13,502 units in India last year as compared with 10,201 units in 2014, a significant jump of 32 per cent. In 2016, they are planning to add 12 fascinating new products to its portfolio.
Mercedes Benz India, Managing Director and CEO Roland Folger said, “Our unsurpassed product drive and the network expansion, supported by our comprehensive service and financial programs, catapulted our growth despite unfavorable market conditions and a slowing economy.
He added, “The Company witnessed such a strong growth despite unexpected challenges on the sales front faced in the key markets of Chennai and Delhi.”
Mercedes Benz increased its cumulative investment in its production facility to RS. 1000 crore, that is the highest for any luxury carmaker in India.
