The Old Delhi Food Festival: Wide Variety of Delicious Cuisines and a lot of fun!

Foodie Journey at the Old Delhi Festival was a treat for food lovers


Food and music festivals are always fun. Food festivals are a perfect way for family and friends to spend the weekend together. Recently, the Old Delhi Festival was organised at Indian Islamic Centre to treat all the food lovers out there.

The feisty food festival was organised by the students of Focus India (NGO) that educates children from marginalised communities. They had put together the Old Delhi Food Festival with charms from the lesser known places in the area. Notably, the NGO will use the fund to hold the educational programs for the students from deprived classes.

Roasted Chicken

There were over 15 different stalls by vendors in Old Delhi. They all served appetizing and authentic food. Taufiq ki Biryani had brought steaming hot plates of our favourite food. There was a Kallan Sweets for the perfect ending that you need for your meal.

There were many drinks like Anjeer and Khajoor ki Lassi from Al Suleman Hot and Cool Corner, and also the Gud ka Sharbat from Aqueel. There were mouth-watering Dahi Bhalle and Chaat Papdi from Bheem Singh Chaat.

Mutton Kebab

Apart from them, delicious Fried Chicken served by Haji Mohd. Hussein, tasty chicken Dora Kebab was presented by Dil Pasand, more chicken specialities from Changezi chicken. There were different kinds of egg preparation from Khan Omelette.

There was a stall named Aslam’s Chicken. Aslam’s chicken is very famous for its Tandoori Butter Chicken. There were many different and delicious dishes by different vendors like Shakeel Kabab’s Seekh Kebabs, Nargisi Kofte from Iqbal Bawarchi.

A lot of food lovers were spotted there. They all had visited there to taste the delicious food of Old Delhi. The foodie journey at Delhi food festival was not less than a treat for the hard-core foodies. The food served at the festival was soul satiating.
