The Grandeur of Indian Couture

fashion-1

Rina Dhaka with her show stopper Malaika Arora Khan and her team for India Coture week showcase.

As always, Rina Dhaka recreates the magic of fashion with her sheer brilliance; this time it is in Indian gota. I have always believed that she is the Coco Chanel of India. She brings newness to every garment and never hesitates to take the plunge in this ever-risking field of fashion experimenting; every time coming out as a winner. It is her knack of understanding the fabric, the cut and the overall garment that she so effortlessly designs, year after year, collection after collection.

For the FDCI’s India Couture Week, this July, Rina has redefined the art of gota work by fusing it with ultra sheer fabrics and lace. The Rajasthani art work gets a new chic look, thanks to her fusion cells.

Rina has artistically fused the techniques of Indian Zardozi, Ari, Kamdani along with metallic gotaand the soft elements of lace, to the grandeur of Mughal animal paintings depicted on fur lined velvet capes.

Her garments have a beautiful flow of layers with magnificent artwork that shine in creative ecstasy to bring about the opulence of Indian couture.
