THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS

THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS

“Yeh dilli hai mere yaar
Bas ishq mohabbat pyaar”

If you’ve ever tried getting food in this city after midnight you would say that its true…only ishq, mohabbat & pyaar is what you can get when this city goes to sleep @11.

You can eat with love but you cannot eat love. So what can u do as a delhiite out in the city looking for a quick bite if you’ve just come from a party, late job or are just hungry and there’s only the questionable dal left in the fridge from two days ago.

Well not to worry, I have the perfect solution to your predicament. Here are some places that serve up delicious food at affordable prices late into the early morning:

Pandara Road (Near India Gate)

Pandara road has a wide variety of restaurants serving multiple cuisines till late. While some of them close at midnight, good food can be found till almost 3 in the morning. Although a little expensive, it’s relatively safer and tastier than other alternatives.

Restaurants on Pandara Road:

• Gulati
• Veg Gulati
• Ichiban
• Have more
• Chicken Inn
• Pindi
• Baskin Robbins
• Giani’s
• Krishna Di Kulfi
• Gelato Roma

New Delhi Railway Station

Although you have the option of going to Comesum, there are cheaper options available if you are short on cash right outside the station’s paharganj gate. Not as family friendly or hygienic, this is a students-hungry-lowonmoney kind of place.

1440, Hotel Vikram

Located near the Moolchand metro station, Hotel Vikram is open 24/7 and offers great non vegetarian options like chicken tikka and fish & chips. Although more expensive than street food restaurants, this is worth it as you are in a hotel restaurant that serves delicious food with alcohol. The USP being it gives you the best of both worlds cheaper than a 5 star and fancier than a normal restaurant.
