US Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc’s Corex cough syrup that was widely sold across India has been terminated permanently.
The ban came in light of the expert panel saying that the syrup posed a great risk for humans, since Corex is combination of chlopheniramine maleate and codeine syrup – one of the 344 drug combinations that are banned in the country.
Although the firm has been in association with India for over 30 years now, this ban is sure to hit their revenues.
