Meghalaya’s Annual Cultural Festival – 18 Degrees, Shillong
The ’18 degrees’ festival is back in town. The event which is sponsored every year by the Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya is ready to rock Shillong this season. The objective of the event is to promote Arts & Culture in the smallest and landscapic state of the nation, Meghalaya.

Dassa Lakiang is directing and choreographing fashion show for the event. In his endeavor to make this year’s fashion show a big success, he will be choreographing the show for Ritu Beri in Shillong.
Oriflame is participating as the make-up and styling partner whereas Jet Airways is their official airline partner for creative encounters.Apart from Ritu Beri, a famous fashion designer,Daniel Syiem will also be showcasing his designs. Daniel has earlier participated in the prestigious Lakme Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and the London Fashion Week.
The event gives a platform to explore and educate people about the culture of the state. It also provides for an opportunity to share their creative ideas. The main attraction of the event is the fashion show and the Costume play (Cosplay) where one can cosplay their favorite super hero or anime character with a special performance by Project Hero Cosplay Artists.There will also be a photography exhibition based on films & logo making. Poets and writers will be coming to interact with the visitors. Besides, people can also submit their entries for writing, painting and other contests.
