11th April is observed as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule’s Jayanti and today is his 190th birthday.
He was a great social reformer, who made efforts to make India a harmonious society, where education plays a pivotal role.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to the legendary Jyotibha Phule and urged nation to seek inspiration from Phule’s ideology.
His brilliant work include fields like eradication of untouchability , cast system and the reform of Hindu Family life.
Notably, he is most known for his undying efforts, which he made to make women educated. After educating his wife, he opened first school for girls in India.
