Coursera, with 17 million registered students and free online courses from 140 universities, is curious to be the part of India’s drive to expand access to higher education.
Currently, only 12 percent of young people in India get university places that means lot of talented people are left behind, when it comes to taking admission.
In fact, Indian government is itself planning to increase university enrolment upto 30 percent till 2030 and this gives even bigger opportunity to the online providers.
