JLR has finally done it! They have introduced the World’s first convertible SUV. The vehicle – Range Rover Evoque Convertible.
Having the same rugged sporty looks and features, the vehicle is a two door four seater. The retractable roof, made of a sturdy 5 layer material only takes mere seconds to come up and go down. No need to stop the SUV to put up or down the roof for that matter, and can be done at a comfortable 30 mph speed.
The vehilce has amazing accoustics and the same all terrain useability as the five door Evoque. A plus is the introduction of ‘InControl Touch Pro’ system, which seemlessly integrates wifi, top of the line sound, navigation and smartphone useage.
The Convertible has a two litre 4 cylinder turbo petrol engine with 340 Nm torque with 240 BHP power, and a nine speed auto transmission. The Evoque can zoom 0 to 100 km/hour in less than 8 seconds and can deliver upto 180 km/hour top speed.
