Bookaroo Literature Festival!


Bookaroo children’s literature festival is back with its 7th edition, which is bigger and better than ever before.


It is presented by Prefetti, Hindustan Times that once again has brought together children, authors, illustrators and books all in one place.


It is happening at the Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts and would remain for two days 29- 30 November.

Bookaroo this year will have 71 speakers from across India as well as Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Sweden and from U.K.


99 simultaneous sessions would take place in the literature festival. People with their kids were spotted enjoying at Bookaroo.


Many school students were present, who were participating in the various sessions.


There were various sections organized at Indira Gandhi International Center for Arts such as Kahani Tree, studio, crafty corner, Mati Ghar, Amphithreatre, The palms and many more.

Best among all of them was the Doodle wall, where children were spotted enjoying coloring their imaginations.There is huge list of authors, illustrators and storytellers present this year. Some of them are Arunava Sinha, Bhakti Mathur, Prayag Shukla, Shallu Jindal, Lucy Hawaig and so on.


You can find a wide collection of books for your young kids, who can enjoy reading books with some interesting stories.


Coming off a very successful Bookaroo in the city, the outreach programme is all set to celebrate the joy of books and literature.


“I love to hear stories and at Kahani tree I heard some really interesting stories”, says a 10 year old kid.


“I think children should be inculcated with the habit of reading this really helps them as they grow up and at Eureka books stall you can find some interesting books for your kids”, says Geeta, mother of a 7 year old.


So, come spend a day at Bookaroo festival and meet your favorite author or illustrator, participate in workshops, discover interesting activities or just craft your way through the day.
