Interview: Author of Sita Returns Dr. Charu Wali Khanna straight from her heart

Author of Sita Returns, Charu Wali Khanna is a former worker of NCW, she is an artist, a lawyer, and a writer. Recently, we got an opportunity to get candid with her. She talked about her book and various other issues that matter to women.

During our conversation, we talked about the most talked issue of 2018- #Metoomovement. She said, ” This is just the beginning and it is a welcome change. Women are coming out and talking about their experiences which is commendable. I believe we should not stop and we should not get scared. The only thing that we all should keep in mind – let authorities do their work properly. We should not jump to conclusions.”

She talked about gender stereotyping and said that generalizing men is not okay! After all, men and women both are the pillars of a society. Wrapping up the conversation she said, we need more men who support us. The one who can stand with us in all our decisions and respect our individuality.
