Finally the Audi A3’s facelift has been launched in India and its prices start from Rs.30.5 Lakh. The 2017 Audi A3 will be available in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology. The car has got a new 1.4 TFSI petrol engine. Notably, the updated version of Audi A3 is the company’s fourth launch in India. Rs.30.5 Lakh is the price for petrol variant and the diesel variant has been launched at Rs.32.3 Lakh.

Interestingly, this year also marks the 10th anniversary of Audi’s operation in India. The facelifted Audi A3 is powered by a 1.4 –Litre TFSI petrol motor that churns out 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. On the other hand, diesel variant of the car has a 2.0 litre TDI motor. Notably, the diesel motor uses a 6- speed DSG gearbox to send power to the front wheels.

Apart from it, there is lot more that Audi A3 can offer you. Audi has given A3 some attracting features such as the Phone Box that supports wireless charging. The retractable screen on the dashboard is now only 11mm thick. It also gets a reverse camera now.

Little changes has been made to the design of the car. Audi A3 has got new headlights, LED DRLs, tail lamp cluster and a dual tip exhaust. The new 16 –inch alloy wheels are adding sporty look to the car.

• A3 misses out on Android Auto and Apple car play

The A3’s biggest competitor in India is the Mercedes Benz and both A3 and CLA is important for the respective carmakers as they both will give tough competition to each other.
