3 Categories, 3 Awards, for the SUZUKI GIXXER at the NDTV CAR & BIKE AWARDS

 

At the 10th NDTV Car and Bike Awards ceremony, held at the BuddhInternational Circuit in Noida, the Gixxerstole the show with awards in three of the most competitive categories:

 

1. “NDTV Two Wheeler of the Year”
2. “CNB Viewers’ Choice Two Wheeler of the Year” and
3. “Motorcycle of the Year (upto 160 CC)”

 

There were many contenders in each category. Over 30 bikes were launched in 2014 in India. The Suzuki Gixxer won both the Viewers’ Choice Award and the Jury Award, which is an affirmation of the bike’s reputation as being the best on the road.

The Awards panel consisted of eminent jury members from various fields, including DilipChhabria, Gul Panag, Racers Aditya Patel & Karun Chandhok, Dr V Sumantran, Kamlesh Patel, Pablo Chaterji, Managing Editor, Man’s World, DhruvBehl, Editor, Auto X and SulajjaFirodiaMotwani of Kinetic Engineering, with SiddharthVinayakPatankar, Editor-Auto, NDTV Group.

 

The Gixxer is drawn from the lineage of Suzuki’s globally successful GSX-R 1000 series. The motorcycle was introduced to the Indian market in September last year. The ‘Street Sport’ Gixxer is equipped with Suzuki’s breakthrough SEP technology to deliver a perfect balance of power and fuel efficiency.
