Around 7:00 am local time, an incident occurred in a remote part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, involving a cable car. The cable car, carrying six children and two adults, became suspended over a deep valley after a cable broke mid-journey, at a height of approximately 1,200 feet.

Cable Car Rescue Dilemma:
The group had been stranded for over four hours when a Pakistan Army helicopter arrived. The challenging location made it difficult for ground-based rescue operations. The cable car hung amidst picturesque mountains and a deep ravine, a common means of connecting isolated villages.

The National Disaster Management Agency confirmed the occupants were at an altitude of at least 900 feet. Local officials, including a senior Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial figure, sought helicopter assistance for effective relief efforts due to the inaccessible terrain. The incident underlined the need for specialized aid in such situations.
