A Malaysia Airlines flight, MH122, encountered disruption when a passenger allegedly became disruptive mid-flight, prompting its return to Sydney. Subsequently, Australian police arrested a Pakistani-origin man for purportedly claiming to possess explosives onboard the aircraft, which had been en route to Kuala Lumpur.
The incident caused ripples of impact, with Sydney Airport reporting the cancellation of 32 domestic flights and delays of up to 90 minutes for other domestic departures. However, international flights remained unaffected by the incident.

The individual in question, identified as Muhammad Arif Ali, has garnered attention due to his background as a former Pakistani model and actor. Currently residing in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, according to his open Facebook profile, Ali’s LinkedIn account also outlines his professional journey.

Drawing from his Instagram profile, which dates back to June 2014, it appears he was involved in the production “Kollege Jeans.” This platform, however, also reveals concerns about his mental well-being. Colleagues and his legal representative have expressed hope for equitable treatment in his “bomb threat case,” implying potential mental health struggles and consequently advocating for a psychological evaluation.
