Charlotte Sena, 9, recovered safe and well after going missing during a camping trip in New  York; suspect apprehended. A 9-year-old girl who went missing on a family camping trip in upstate New York was located on Monday, three days after she went missing. Police claim they have located the girl’s accused kidnapper and that she is “safe and in good health.”

Gov. Kathy Hochul told the local media that after examining multiple homes, detectives were able to identify the offender using prints found on a ransom note. According to state police, Charlotte Sena was located on Monday at around 6:30 p.m.

After a thorough search lasting several days, we are pleased to learn that Charlotte Sena has been found safely this evening, Hochul said in a prepared statement that she is thinking of her family as they welcome her back. Authorities have stated that there is an ongoing investigation without providing any information about the suspect. On Tuesday, there will be a news conference to provide more information.
