Bigg Boss 13 fame Shehnaaz Gill received a lot of love from the audience. But it looks like Sona Mohapatra, singer and activist, is tired of people not holding Shehnaaz accountable for her actions.
Singer Sona appears to be miffed with the former Bigg Boss star. She has once again targeted Shehnaaz Gill asking why she is Twitter’s favourite despite supporting #metoo accused Sajid Khan. Taking to her Twitter handle, Sona seemed to be reacting to Shehnaaz’s viral video in which she stopped singing at an event when she heard Azaan (a call for prayer in Islam). This made the ‘Rupaiya’ singer furious and she raised questions about Gill’s talent.

Sona tweeted, “All the Twitter adulation for Shehnaaz Gill’s act of ‘respect’ today reminded me of her ‘support’, ‘reverence’ and ‘glorification’ of a multiple accused sex offender and pervert Sajid Khan when he was platformed on national TV. I wish she had some respect for her sisterhood.”

In another tweet, the singer wrote, “I don’t know what Shehnaaz’s particular talent is as of now, Apart from low-brow reality TV fame.

However, Sona’s remark against Gill did not go well with the latter’s fans and they trolled her on social media.
Replying to her tweet a user wrote, “TALKING ABOUT SISTERHOOD BY DEGRADING SISTER WANT TO RAISE VOICE THAN DO IT IN A RIGHT WAY….TAG COLOR TAG SK TAG THE PRODUCER TAG THE WHOLE SYSTEM NOT JUST ONE PERSON… I WISH U HAD SOME RESPECT FOR “SISTER”
Another troll wrote,” What’s your take on those who partied with Sajid, What’s your take on Salman letting him be part of Bigg Boss, What’s your take on people licking his boots for work? Ohh, maybe you need 2 min engagement or popularity that’s why pointing it to a new Comer who is not even seen with him.”
After receiving immense hate from Shehnaaz’s fans, Sona called out news portals and said that she will not employ a PR agency to swing the narratives

Last year, Sona Mohapatra took a dig at Bigg Boss 16 makers who chose Sajid Khan as one of the contestants in the show. Quote-tweeting a post by TV anchor Janice Sequeira on Sajid Khan’s Bigg Boss participation, the singer wrote, “This is Sajid Khan, now on a reality TV show. Then there is Anu Malik, judging a music reality show on TV, for children no less. Kailash Kher? Celebrity judges on TV. All called out by many, many women in #MeToo. Indian TV channels, executives are indeed a depraved and sad lot.”
