Rajinikanth’s Jailer swiftly enters ₹550 crore global club within 12 days. Second-fastest Tamil film to do so, following 2.0. Strong box office presence in various regions noted.
Rajinikanth’s latest film, Jailer, has stormed its way into the prestigious ₹550 crore club at the global box office in an astonishing 12 days since its release. This remarkable feat solidifies Jailer as the second-fastest Tamil movie to achieve this remarkable financial milestone, with Rajinikanth’s previous venture, “2.0,” achieving the feat in just eight days back in 2018. Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan took to Twitter to share this achievement, breaking down the film’s impressive collection figures.
Globally, Jailer has amassed a staggering ₹556.5 crore, showcasing its strong box office performance across various regions. The movie’s domestic box office earnings have also been robust, with an estimated ₹288.6 crore nett in India, spanning multiple languages. Of note is the film’s incredible showing in its home state, Tamil Nadu, where it’s poised to breach the ₹200 crore mark with a cumulative collection of ₹194.7 crore.

The movie’s success has been felt beyond Tamil Nadu, resonating strongly in other regions as well. In Telugu states like Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Jailer crossed the ₹75 crore gross mark, marking it as the second Kollywood film to achieve this in the region, following in the footsteps of 2.0. Moreover, the film became the first Tamil movie to breach the ₹60 crore gross milestone in Karnataka.
