In Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Jaane Jaan’ on Netflix, Jaideep Ahlawat’s exceptional performance as a tormented teacher steals the spotlight. Kareena Kapoor shines in her digital debut, portraying a single mother realistically. While Vijay Varma delivers a respectable performance as a cop, Ahlawat’s portrayal remains the film’s standout element.


Sujoy Ghosh, the mastermind behind this cinematic creation, delivers Jaane Jaanon Netflix, a thrilling murder mystery featuring Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Varma, and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film unravels the tale of a crime committed by a single mother and her daughter, with an unexpected twist involving a neighbour.

Ghosh’s meticulous craftsmanship shines throughout the film, from the intricately designed apartment settings to the actors’ authentic appearances. He ingeniously incorporates mathematics into the crime-solving process, aptly termed logic. This adaptation draws its inspiration from Keigo Higashino’s novel, Devotion of Suspect X.

The narrative revolves around a single mother and her daughter, thrust into the spotlight due to a murder they committed in self-defence. Jaane Jaan maintains a pervasive atmosphere of tension, further intensified by Jaideep Ahlawat’s enigmatic presence.

Ghosh openly acknowledges the film’s adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s work, ensuring the story’s credibility and authenticity.

Kareena Kapoor’s digital debut is nothing short of refreshing. She embodies a character grounded in reality, devoid of the typical ornamental roles often assigned to Bollywood leading actresses.
