We are back to ground zero, as COVID is touching its peak again. While the theatres just started to reopen, the peak has put them back to ground zero. But you don’t have to worry. We know, you have been going through a hard time, and watching movies is somewhat letting you be sane. So, like every month, we have prepared the May 2021 Movies Calendar for you. Though there aren’t many films lined up for May, but the ones there are OTT release so great is that you can watch them at your places, without any fears.

 

May 2021 Movies Calendar

1. Radhe – May 13 – ZeePlex

 

The first film that is about to come this month is one of the most-awaited, ‘Radhe’ starring none other than Salman Khan. the trailer of the film has been quite in discussing and we are to see how the film goes. The film will come on Zee5’s pay-per-view medium, ZeePlex on 13th May. The film will also be available on the DTH services including Dish, D2H, Tata Sky, and Airtel Digital TV etc. This is one of the biggest releases of the month. Though the trailer has been criticized by many, the fandom of Salman Khan is likely to bring laurels to the film. The film is directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, and Atul Agnihotri.

2. Alma Matters – May 14 – Netflix

 

 

An academy with a decades-long history, millions of ambitious students, and a shared dream. The IITs are the Indian equivalent of the American dream, which entails passing the world’s most difficult public exam and ensuring lifetime achievement, this is what the concept of Alam Matters is. The film will premier on Netflix on 14th May.

3. Sardaar Ka Grandson – May 18 – Netflix

 

 

A cute, heartwarming trailer spiced up with a little melodrama, just what the audiences like. This film is a love story that covers seven decades and two continents, a tale of sub-continental hustling and earthy imagination, a tale of triumph against daunting odds. Sardar Ka Grandson is an odd and sweet story in which petty egos, faith, enmity, boundaries, and seas of red tape are all overcome by the basic humanity of one dedicated man. The film casts Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Neena Gupta, John Abraham, Aditi Rao Hydari, Soni Razdan, Kumud Mishra, Kanwaljit Singh, and Divya Seth and is likely to be a good show for all.

 4. Toofaan – May 21 – Amazon Prime

 

Casting Farhan Akhtar, Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, and being a film that is inspired by the much loved Bhag Milkha Bhag, it is likely to a much in craze film for May. It is a sports drama by  Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra with Farhan as a National Level Boxer. The film will premier on Amazon Prime on 21st May.

Well, as of now, these are the only films that are confirmed releases. Many releases are pulled down as of now, as they were scheduled to be theatre releases. We will keep you posted on the upcoming releases
