Bollywood actor Jagdeep passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday at the age of 81 due to age-related health issues. The veteran comic actor is most known for the character Soorma Bhopali in the iconic movie ‘Sholay’. Fans still remember his funny dialogue “Mera Naam Soorma Bhopali aise hi nahi hai.” He is also known for playing Salman Khan’s father role in the movie “Andaaz Apna Apna” by the younger generation. While the Bollywood fans are grieving about a huge loss to Indian Cinema, we are here with the list of 5 legendary comedians of the Bollywood to ease our pain.

1. Johnny Walker

Jonny Walker, whose original name is Badruddin Kazi is Bollywood’s one of the most acclaimed and prominent comedians. He worked as a bus conductor and used to entertain passengers with the talent of comedy before joining the film industry. Balraj Sahni noticed his talent and helped him get his first movie Baazi in 1951. From there, he went on to work in more than 300 films. Some of his notable performances are Madhumati (1958), CID (1956), and Mr and Mrs 55 (1955).

2. Johnny Lever

Jonny Lever is the modern-legend who has entertained us during the 90s and 2000s with his hilarious comic timings. Who could forget the classic ‘Babulal’ in the movie Baazigar in which he created a laugh-riot in cinema halls, He has done more than 350 movies and is continuing to do so even in the modern cinema-world where side-comic actors have very small space. He was last seen in the Akshay Kumar-Starrer Housefull 4.

3. Mehmood

Some might endorse his name on the top but we are going with 3rd position. Mehmood started his acting career with Kismet in 1943 and went on to entertain audiences in more than 300 movies. His acting was very natural. He didn’t just entertain us with comedy but also brought humour to dancing.

4. Rajpal Yadav

Rajpal Yadav is probably one actor, watching whom the millennials have laughed the most. Be it his Baandya’s character in Chup Chup Ke, or many other comic roles in Hungama, Malamaal Weekly, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, Waqt: Race against time and more. We hope to see more of him in Hindi cinema.

5. Kader Khan

It won’t be wrong to say that Kader Khan is the most versatile actor in Bollywood. He is one actor who ruled the industry until he lived.
