Why Imran Khan left Bollywood and was told to hide his love affair.
Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na actor Imran Khan is again in the spotlight since Aamir Khan announced his daughter Ira Khan’s engagement. Imran has left Bollywood and has been away from making an appearance here and there.
On the occasion of Ira Khan’s engagement, Imran finally posed for paps. He chooses a stylish suit for the event. The former actor’s fans were happy to see their star, and some went nostalgic. However, fans were utterly shocked when they saw a group photo of the Khan family in which Imran was also spotted.
In 2008-09, Imran Khan was immensely famous but he decided to leave and walk away from the glamorous lifestyle he owned.
Imran Pal was born on 13 January 1983. His parents are Anil Pal and Nuzhat Khan. Nuzhat Khan is Aamir Khan’s cousin. So, Imran is the nephew of Aamir. His parents separated when he was young, and he moved to Mumbai with his mother.
In his school days, Imran suffered from stammering and facial tic disorder. He was sent to boarding school in Tamil Nadu after his mother remarried. This period was challenging for Imran, who also suffered from depression.
Although Imran was sent to a boarding school, he was admitted to a gurukul situated in the jungles of Ooty. He became independent at a very young age.
Imran’s Bollywood Journey begins…
For his graduation, he went to California and decided to get a film-making degree. For the unversed, he worked as a child artist in many films, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, etc.
While he was gearing up to enter Bollywood, he met Abbas Tyrewala. The latter cast him as the main lead in Jaane Tu ya Jaane Naad. The film was also financed by Aamir Khan and was a massive hit. After that, Imran Khan kept getting movies and had a lot of female-fan following.
But this chocolaty boy was a one-woman man.

Imran was committed to Avantika Malik, now his wife, since 2002. Even after getting into stardom, he never tried to hide his relationship, although many suggested keeping it secretive. However, he refused to do so and remained abided by his words. In 2011, he got married to the love of his life.
Imran was back-to-back getting film offers, but none of them was appreciated by the critics. Then in 2011, he finally impressed critics with Delhi- Belly. There is always a debate about his acting skills; some like it, and some do not. The major problem lay in his dialogue delivery. Imran was never comfortable in Hindi. He has spent most of his time in the US and completed his schooling in Tamil Nadu, where people talk in their native language or English. Therefore, there was an accent in his language which was absurd for the Indian audience. Still, the audience loved him and paps favourite, which did not go well with Khan.

Although Imran Khan was a public figure, he liked a private life. And his family history proves that he was a big introvert. Still, media attention was letting him spend quality time with his family.
Therefore, Imran decided to say goodbye to the glamorous world FOREVER.
End of Bollywood career and marriage
His last film was Katti-Batti in 2015. In an interview, he also expressed why he likes to stay at bay from the celebrity lifestyle. However, in 2019, it was reported that Avantika Malik had moved out from Khan’s place and started living separately. A 17-year-long relationship and 8 years of marriage came to an end. Though they never file for a divorce, they are not together also.
A man who left everything for family, how once again left alone.
Will he make a comeback?
Iman even directed a short film, Mission Mars, which gave a slight hope to his fans that Khan might make a comeback in Bollywood. But that also never happened, and his friends had also cleared the air that Khan would never return as an actor but maybe via film-making.

Imran Khan is also less active on social media. His last post was also ages-old. People were expecting that they may not see their childhood crush ever again. Surprisingly, in May 2022, Ira Khan posted some family pictures where Imran Khan could be spotted.
