From Pratigya 2 to Balika Vadhu 2, popular shows are returning to TV with a brand new season!


If you are someone who follows Indian television content regularly, then you would have noticed that suddenly all the popular shows are returning to TV with a brand new season. Be it Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya to Balika Vadhu, popular shows from the past are making a comeback and fans can’t keep calm!  Some show makers have decided to go with the old cast to bring the nostalgia in. On the other hand, in some shows, we will see new faces and new stories as well. But why are all these shows making a comeback? During the second wave of Corona, many shows were re-aired on television. Surprisingly, all of them received the same amount of love as they used to get.  Do you remember when Rasode Mai Kaun tha went viral? Keeping the popularity in mind, many makers decided to come up with season 2.

Here is a list of shows which have made a comeback and which will make it soon!

1.Mann Ki Awaaz Pratiyga

Starring Pooja Gor & Arhaan Behll in the lead roles, the show returned to television in March 2021. It was one of the most loved shows on Indian television.  From the love story of Krishna – Pratigya to Sajjan Singh’s dialogues, the show has a lot to offer. Well, the show will end soon. After successfully entertaining the audience for 6 months, season 2 will come to an end.  Unfortunately, veteran actor Anupam Shyam Ojha passed away recently. But he will always remain in our hearts as Thakur Sajjan Singh.

2. Balika Vadhu Season 2

Who can forget Balik Vadhu, a show that touched many lives and gave great actors to the industry? The lead actress of the show Avika Gor is still known as Anandi by her fans. The show is still fresh in our hearts. The show has returned to TV with a brand new story. The makers have revealed that the show is based on a real-life story this time.

3. Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi Season 3

Yes, it’s season 3. First aired in the year 2016, the show garnered a lot of love from the fans. Dev and Sonakshi’s romance was fresh and relatable. The show gave insight into the complexity of different human relationships with a simple approach. The show made its comeback on television and still receiving the same kind of love.

  1. Tera Mera Saath

The sequel of Saath Nibhana Saathiya is one of the most awaited shows on Indian television. Fans are eager to watch Gopi Bahu in the brand new avatar. The first episode of the show will air on August 16 at 8:30 Pm on Star Bharat.

  1. Bade Acche Lagte hai 2

Remember the crackling and hatke chemistry of Ram and Priya? Yes, they will be back on Television soon.  Notably, Sakshi Tanwar & Ram Kapoor would not be a part of the show. In fact, the fans will be introduced to the new Ram and Priya.  Interestingly, Nakul Mehta and Disha Parmar will be the lead characters of the show. Are you excited? Well, Divankya Tripathi was also approached for the show but she said no. During a live session, she revealed that she wasn’t able to relate to the character.

  1. Pavitra Rishta 2

This tops the list when it comes to popularity. Manav and Archana were, are and will remain our favourite. The show is returning to television after a long gap. Ankita Lokhande and Shaheer Sheikh will be working together for the first time. Shaheer will play the iconic character of Manav, which was earlier played Late Sushant Singh Rajput and later by Hiten Tejwani.
