Bollywood celebrities Who Faded Away as They Refuse to Evolve with Time

Bollywood celebrities who didn’t Evolve With time :-Some of our favourite stars happen to be the favourites of our older generation. These are called the evergreen superstars. In this list, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sri Devi, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit, and many more remains at the top. However, some undeniably talented actors who were celebrated in the 80s and 90s or were at the peak of their era once lost their charm and faded with time. And the reason behind this mostly remained their attitude which did not allow them to evolve with time.

To remain relevant to the industry, one needs to adapt and understand what will resonate with the constantly evolving masses. Here is the list of Bollywood celebrities who didn’t Evolve With time.

The confidence, dance moves, and expression Govinda used to give in front of the camera cannot be compared to any of his counterparts. This star was signing one after Bollywood hit and becoming a known face on a national scale. He nailed almost every genre of film, like comedy, action, family drama, and romance which were the popular demand.

Govinda’s collaboration with David Dhawan gave him a new height of success. Their films were only meant to tickle the audience’s funny bones as soon as they entered the theatres.

However, Govinda starts losing charm because of his cliched script revolving around Pati, Patni Aur Woh concept. At the same time, other actors were coming up with movies like Swades, Lagaan, and Dil Chahta Hai, which worked like fresh air.

Moreover, due to his rigid attitude, Govinda turned down some excellent roles, like Chunni Lal in Devdas, Taal, and even Gadar.

Now, he is featuring extremely low-quality songs on his YouTube channel.

Rajesh Khanna

The first superstar and one with the most successful career in Bollywood were seen by Rajesh Khanna. The success and popularity he received after the release of Aradhana were never seen by any other actor. Especially, female fans went crazy for him and used to write a letter to him with blood. Some even married to his photograph. Women entered cinema halls in their best outfits. His films were celebrated like festivals, and Khanna seemed to be irreplaceable. The word superstar became a synonym of Rajesh Khanna in that era.

This stardom brings along a lethetic attitude with Khanna. Where Amitabh Bachchan was consistent with his call time, Rajesh Khanna worked on his conditions. Where Khanna was hailed as a romantic hero, Bachchan established his niche as an Angry young man.

Izzatein, shohratein, chahatein, ulfatein, koi bhi cheez duniya Mein rehti nhi… aaj main hoon Jahan kal koi aur tha… Yeh bhi ek Daur Hai Woh Bhi Ek Daur tha

and stardom shifted towards Bachchan. However, there was a time when both of these celebrated actors were struggling for roles. Amitabh was never shy to ask for work, but Khanna’s ego was not letting him call any director and ask for roles. This slowly faded him from the eyes of fans, and even politics, ad films, small budget movies, and Tv serials couldn’t revive his career.

Honey Singh

Credit for introducing pop culture and rap to the Indian audience goes to Honey Singh. His albums were way more famous than any Bollywood songs featuring the best actors. There was a time when every top-notch Bollywood actor and director wanted at least Honey Singh in their movie.

However, this fame did not last very long. The famous Punjabi rapper disappeared, and reports stated that he was in the rehab centre. But he quashed all such claims and said that he was suffering from bipolar disorder and was on medicines.

When the rapper-singer tried to make a comeback, his place was already occupied by an underground rapper and singer. Moreover, Honey Singh is adamant about making songs on female objectification, alcohol, and parties. Whereas other rappers were providing meaningful, inspiring lyrics.

In addition, accusations of domestic violence against Singh by his wife damaged the image of the once-celebrated singer-rapper.
