When you hear that Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are teaming up again for a horror-comedy, expectations automatically shoot up. After all, this is the duo that has delivered some of Bollywood’s most memorable entertainers. But Bhooth Bangla turns out to be a film that leans too heavily on past success, particularly the legacy of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, without carving out its own identity.

At its core, Bhooth Bangla tries to blend slapstick humor with supernatural elements. The setup is familiar—a haunted mansion, quirky characters, and a mystery waiting to unfold. However, instead of feeling nostalgic, the film comes across as repetitive and overstretched.
