Devastating Raigad Landslide: 10 Confirmed Dead, Missing Son Sparks Hope. Rescue Efforts Continue Amidst Challenges.
Following a massive landslide in Maharashtra’s Khalapur, Raigad Landslide Tragedy, 45-year-old Durga Pardi and her 23-year-old son Mohan are devastated. Durga’s 19-year-old son Sudam remains missing after boulders collapsed on their home while they were sleeping. With the help of locals and rescue teams, more than 75 people have been rescued, but at least ten have been confirmed dead. The challenging terrain and heavy rain have complicated rescue efforts.
After the landslide at Irshalgad in Raigad Dist., the administration is continuously carrying out help and rescue operations with full strength tackling and overcoming all obstacles.

CM Visits Raigad Landslide:
Amidst the difficult situation, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Nambrachiwadi, offering his support and announcing ₹5 lakh compensation for the families of the deceased. State tourism minister Girish Mahajan, industries minister Uday Samant, and public works minister Dada Bhuse also visited the landslide site.
Landslide Rescue:
Rescue teams from various districts, along with medical teams and trekker groups, have joined the efforts. The government-run MGM Hospital in Panvel is accommodating the injured, and the state government will cover their medical expenses.
NDRF Rescues:
Despite the hurdles, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is diligently continuing rescue operations. Body scanners and dog squads have been deployed, and essential supplies like water, blankets, and first aid materials have been mobilized for the rescue operation.
