More than 88 million selfies, featuring individuals from all corners of the nation along with the national flag, have been shared on the government’s Har Ghar Tiranga website by Tuesday noon as part of a three-day initiative ignited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent rally.. The campaign, which began following Modi’s call on Sunday, seeks to foster patriotism and commemorate the 77th Independence Day.

The homepage of the Har Ghar Tiranga platform invites users to upload selfies with the tricolor. An impressive 88 million such selfies had been posted by noon on Tuesday. The campaign encourages citizens to proudly hoist the flag at their residences from August 13 to 15.

Diverse Selfies with stars

Freedom of choice on the website includes uploading selfies with both the flag and a digital version of the tricolor. Scrolling further reveals images of prominent figures, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, former cricketer Parthiv Patel, actor Anupam Kher, and singer Kailash Kher, among others.

PM Modi Boosts Patriotism

Prime Minister Modi has taken a proactive role in promoting this aim , changing his social media profile pictures to the national flag. As part of the week’s festivities, union ministers participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga bike rally, kick-started by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar. The rally traversed various routes, accompanied by a rallying call of Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

Independence Day celebrations across the country saw PM Modi hoisting the flag at the Red Fort, witnessed by dignitaries, ministers, and schoolchildren. The initiative precises a passionate display of national pride and unity.
