Industry Hit, Rain Eases
Beyond the human toll, the rain affected the ceramic industry in the Morbi district and led to temporary closures of factories. The India Meteorological Department anticipated a slowdown in rainfall, focusing on specific parts of south Gujarat and Saurashtra districts.
This unusual weather pattern stemmed from a cyclonic circulation over the northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining regions, as stated by the IMD bulletin.
While the communities grappled with these challenges, the solidarity of locals amidst sudden showers in Rajkot offered a glimpse of resilience amid adversity.
