Officials confirmed that the two deceased Jawans were serving with the 71st Battalion. They have been identified as:

  • Head Constable Ajay Kumar Singh (51), a resident of Bihar.
  • Constable Ambadas (Ambadar) Suresh Durgu (37), a resident of Maharashtra.

Another BSF personnel, identified in reports as Vikas Brahma (also referred to as Vikas Verma in some reports), sustained serious injuries and remains under treatment at Malda Medical College and Hospital.

Who Is Shivam Mishra?
